Running in slient mode.

Okay so i got a Supper Skimmer today. Ive got all setup. But i just read you have to run it with out skimming "break in period" and just have water flow though it without getting areated. (I thought the break in period was to have the skimmer running normally) I didnt read that part so i set it to what i felt and was already getting some excellent skimmate.

So do i have to do this or can set it to the normal setting???

If your getting skimmate I would leave it be. Running it w/ out air probably just would have shortened the break in period. The break in period is basically just a period for "slime" to coat the inner surfaces of the skimmer to allow maximum performance. If it's giving you a good amount of skimmate now, just wait, it should get better w/ some time.
