added 2 banghii cardinals today ammonia rised to .025
but it seems to be climbing it's now at .030 what is to high
this old head had a major brain fart with my memory
25 years is a long time to remember:D
want to be sure so I know if a emergency water change is in line

tank is 3 1/2 months young
 
Are you over feeding at all? Nothing has died to make ammonia spike?

Like you sad I would do a water change for sure!
 
I have been running perfect
nitrite 0
nitrate 0 to 5.0
ammonia 0
ph 8.0
no big spikes in 3 1/2 months with clown and dotty back now this
I know it's not a major spike just want to refresh this old mans brain lol
wow this is trip just checked again now it's .020
could it just be these 2 new banghiis I added
 
Is your cycle complete? You shouldnt have ANY ammonia whatsoever. DEFINITELY do a pwc. I hope everythings turns out ok :D.
 
You aren't going to believe this , as tired I was last night I used the out of date test kit I had not realizing it :facepalm::facepalm:, trust me don't get old lol , I retested it with my other master kit and it's fine (y)
