Safest way to move a featherduster

My torch has gotten pretty big and is probably irritating one of my featherdusters to no end, and he dropped his crown and hasn't reappeared. It looks like his tube is attached to a piece of the rock, though. Is there an easy/safe way to relocate him somewhere else, assuming he's still in there?

20 gallon nano-reef torn down to make way for the 40B Reef (original thread and current update).
