I know that snails have a low tolerance for nitrates, but what about their tolerance for salinity, do they like a high or low salinity environment and how well can they handle small swings in salinity
thanks

Almost all marine life seems to prosper when kept as closely to natural levels as possible. Inverts in general seem to be the most delicate in regards to shifts in water parameters. Small swings (.01-.002) will likely not cause chaos, but I would attempt to keep things as stable as possible.

Inverts like "full strength" seawater, meaning SG~1.025, w/ very minimal or no swings. HTH
