Whats the best type of salinity tester. I need a good one that calculates temp if possible. All I have now is a junky swing arm hydrometer.
 
buy a refractometer with auto-temp calibration. You can find them for around $60. I'm not aware of any that will display the temp.
 
I didnt mean display the temp, just auto temp calibration. Thanks
 
You can buy a hydrometer and calibrate it with a lfs's refractometer if you dont have the money right now for the real deal.
 
How about a Captive Refractometer with light, $119.00 I want the best I can get, no second guessing myself. I've looked through a few different kinds and always had a hard time with the lighting, thus is the reasoning for the light. Is this a good model.
