Salt level??

My husband normally does this not me but, we've got the salt scope and it says 1020----30, and then we've got that clear container thing with the floating gage and that says 0.26..... I'm thinking its to high, cuz I don't understand how to read the scope gage....

1.026 is good. Put more water on the "salt scope" and aim it up to the light. Trust that over the swing arm floating gauge.

I dunked the scope flapper in the water so it was plenty wet...

Try it again until you can see it well.

What numbers are at the line? Read both sides.

Mine says 1020-----30 these #s are across from each other...

1020 and 30? Then left I believe is specific gravity and that should be a bit higher. How does your tank look? 1.020?
