Is there really any difference between salt mixes? I've used InstantOcean and RedSea. I liked the texture of the RedSea better. Currently I'm using the RedSea Coral Pro Salt. Need to order more salt though and really not sure which one I should really be using since I have both reef and FOWLR tanks. Should I use a different type for each?

Some are higher in calcium than others. I have used Reef Crystals for years and have a very high coral load. It doesn't clump up as bad as a lot of other do and is loaded with calcium.

I do like the RedSea Pro Salt. The texture is more powdery and seems to mix better. It hasn't hardened like instant ocean did.
