I bought an 80L container today (those ones for storage) in order to mix up a big batch of saltwater, ready for whenever I need to do a water change.

Before I go ahead and use like 3kg of salt, the container is clear, will this affect my water in anyway? Algae and such? It will obviously be constantly agitated but I wanted to check before I go ahead and possibly screw it up.

If it being clear is an issue, I can just wrap it up in black bags to darken it out.

Thanks.

as long as there is no direct light.... then ... errrrr... maybe not. Keep it clean and it'll keep you clean

80 gallons is a lot. Keep it aerated. It can easily go bad on you. Color of container doesn't matter as long as tank was designed for potable water.
