Just bought a Coralife 192w 10k/actinic/lunar LEDs dual PC set up. What kind of animals will I be able to support with these. The tank is 36x18x18. So it is not very deep. Is it true that actinic is more for aesthetics that it is functionality?

That would make your tank appx 50 gallons so 192 watts would be 3.84wpg. That is a little on the low side but pretty good anyway. You would be able to have a wide variety of animals. No clams and maybe not some of the hard corals but most of the sites that sell will tell you the light requirements of any animals they sell. The blues are definitely needed to create the most natural environment. But they are also aesthetically pleasing.

Shrooms, poylps, zoos, and most soft corals. I would stay away from all hard corals with that amount of lighting. You can have a great tank though being able to keep most corals!
