Saltwater ph

What ph should a saltwater tank be?

Anything from 7.8 to 8.4 is acceptable preferrably on the higher end of that though

Ok so at the moment in my tank I have White and black cichlid substrate, will that be alright with them. If not what do I use, does pool filter-sand higher ph? Thanks for your help

I think it';s the salt that maintains the ph with the additives and elements that are in it. I used pool filter sand in my 125g and my ph is around 8.3.

I just out fresh plain sand in my new tank and the ph is at 8.3.
