i watn to add more sand to my exisiting tank, what type of sand should i get regular sand or live sand? and how would i add it into my tank?

How much do you need? You can spend the extra money of the "live sand" in a bag at the LFS but it is really wet dead sand. Go to Home Depot and look for an aragonite play sand. Make sure it is not silicate sand. As far as adding it, if you get play sand rinse it, then put some in a plastic bag (like a large zip lock) with a corner cut out of it. Submerge the bag close ot the bottom of the tank and let the sand fall from the hole in the bag. You can direct the sand where you want it to go and hopefully avoid a major sand storm in the tank. Works best if you shut off all pumps first. Good luck...Lando
