Sand bed move?

I have a 12 gal nano tank running now and just received a 28 gal nano cube. Is it okay to transfer old sand to new tank and add inhabitants that quick or would it end up cycling over again? What is the best way to accomplish this task? Thanks

In a nano tank I would just add new sand. It wont be that much and in a tank that small old sand would pretty well guarantee another cycle. Maybe in a big tank but definitely not in a nano.
