sand movement

I just hooked up my sump today and it is moving the sand in one big pile, I ajusted it, but now my tank i all cloudy again....is there any way to stop the sand from piling up??

You're speaking of the sump's return flow? Is it parallel to the water surface, just below the top? Too big a pump maybe?

If the tank is new and the sand is new then there will be somedegree of blowing until your bactera coloney can get started. In a few weeks it will almost be like a challenge to get a sand storm up in your tank.
