How will the goby starve to death if it's also eating mysis shrimp?

I am speaking of the Diamond Goby. Not all gobies the same.May be a few exceptions out there but overall mortality rate is extremely high for the Diamond Goby.

So am I. This diamond goby is eating mysis shrimp (that was being fed in the store), so how can it starve to death if it's not only sifting the sand, but eating regular food as well.
