Sandtastik sand

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any experince with sandtastik sand in a reef aquarium. Says silica free and comes in multi-colors. Sandtastik.com

Thanks,
-George

It's just like any other play sand. You can use it, but I never will. Not for any particular reason, but just preference.

Play sand gets really packed down. IMO it looks terrible.

I feel like the coarse white sand would be pretty nice. I just wonder what type of sand it is, if it is neither silica nor quartz.

They take feldspar, a family of rock, and sand it down. There reasoning is that Silica and Quarts sands have toxins which cause cancer.
