scarlett crabs pooping??

Hi everyone!

I put in five scarlet crabs into my tank last night. Now the bottom of my tank is so dirty with what looks like little brown pellets.

Are they pooping??

How do I clean this up??

just let it be. they will brake down iun to a dust. it also be that they are kicking up dust and cleaning the live rock. so you have any snails? i know they poop a lot and it look bad at 1st.

I haven't noticed my scralets poop, but when I introduced a couple Turbos, I noticed tons of poop everywhere. I just used a siphon during water changes to remove as much as possible. They don't seem to be pooping as much now, but that could be from less algae in the tank. Less algae in, = less poop out.

yea.. you guys are right. there's a lot of algae growth on my live rock which is why i purchased the crabs. if anything, i guess this shows that the crabs are at least eatting
