ok, I've seen the squid mentioned a few times in searches, but the askers never got any/many answers

so I take it no one is using the scwd? I'm not looking for hersey or 2nd hand knowledge here :p .... just personal experiences. :D

They work really nice. I have sold a lot to local guys and everyone loves them. I have one on my sons 26 gallon and it works wonders! You do need to use a prefilter for the pump as dirt will eventually clog the up. They are sealed so the only way to get them apart is to destroy it! I like the on closed loops with a mag 12. 1200 GPH is the max recomended for them and the mag 12 works perfectly with the SCWD; if prefiltered it should give years of trouble free operation.

i've 2 scwd installed in my tank. all i can comment is GOOD. all mechanical, low maintenance and effective.
