Sea Pen?

My lfs also has "sea pens" and i was wondering how to take care of them. They look pretty cool. Also, if they die is it like a sea apple or cucumber? Heres a pic of what they pretty much look like.

I had one and it did well for a month then died. They have to be fed plankton so this can strain your system unless your tank is quite large. I have a 55 gallon and wouldnt recomend one but this hobby is all about trying isnt it...
