Sea slug

Are there any slugs that could be harmful to tanks? Yesterday when I put my coco worm/x-mas tree duster in (which ever it is) there was a small slug that came off. Dark with a little red spot on his back. Thanks!

Very possibly. Many are toxic when the die. Many, if not most, have unknown feeding requriements and they is a good portion of them that eat different types of coral. Some are also completly harmless and may even be benificial to your tank. The aquarium community has pretty limitied knowledge about them in general.
