Sea urchin question

I think my sea urchin ate my mushroom it was here yesterday and gone today. Is that possible?

Yes pencil urchins are not reef safe. I found out the hard way it ate a head off of a frogspawn , many mushrooms, a fish( possible It died first then he grabbed it but I don't know) and it scrapes all coralline from rocks it passes over. Had to put it in my sump for two months till my fowler was set up. Love him but he's been a pain in the...... Oh he also ate a sand sifting star
