Seabae Anemone

Just wondering if there is a maximum size that a Seabae Anemone will grow to? I got mine just before Christmas and it was about 2.5 inches across now it is about 7 inches across. I'm kind of afraid it may take over my tank.

What if iI have to become like Seymour from The Little Shop of Horrors and I have to drive it around in the back of my car looking for people to feed to it..... Mind you I already have a wife.

Its possible. I checked out www.liveaquaria.com , they say it grows to about 1'8".

Wouldn't be surprised if it got bigger than that, though. HTH

They can get quite large. Usually once the oral disc reach's about 10-12" the growth rate slows quite a bit depending on available food sources/ligting. My sebae is about 9" across after 5 years. I wouldn't put too much stock in what Live Aquaria lists though. They have a Ritteri's max as 10", the one I have is 2 ft 8O .

Cheers
Steve
