I recently purchased the seaclone 100 for my saltwater tank. I set it up and I've waited for a week now without getting it to work. I followed all the steps. So I took it part today and I found out that the impeller was shredded up. There weren't any flaps left on it! Luckily I had another impeller. So I installed it and it hasn't skimmed anything yet but it is ten times quieter that the factory impeller. There are many complaints about the noise level of this skimmer but more importantly I need help getting it to actually skim. Please and Thank you.

I have been using the Seaclone 100 for my 60 gal DT and it works fine with just very minimal micro bubbles that are hardly noticeable. The first most important thing is set the water level correctly. If you are using it as an HOB your DT water level should be as high as possible. It skims well and does not waste water since it collects very dark scum.
