seeding aquarium

I was wondering if you could seed a saltwater aquarium with a freshwater filter screen or gravel??

Agreed, won't work unfortunately.

if you are switching to SW from FW I would really really clean out everything, filter, tank, sand etc.... you want a nice fresh start with sw so all the old gunk has to go. lol

It's a royalty different tank. I have a 36 and 55 freshwater and will setup a 5 gallon saltwater

Lol I said I was going to do this. Instead I broke down my 60g and 28g to make into saltwater. I'm a firm believer that once you get into saltwater, freshwater will never give you that fulfillment!

I agree, I've done a 10 gallon before but I didn't wait till it cycles so all my fish died. But I'm already thinking about converting my 55 gallon
