seeding fuge?

I am installing a sump/fuge and intend on puting sand in the fuge. Do i need to seed the sand with sand from my main tank or will it seed itself with the flow from my DT?

Bacteria will seed from the DT, pods will take longer if you don't seed them. Anything that doesn't have part of it's lifecycle in the water column won't be seeded. I'd put a cupful of the DT substrate in the fuge sand, along with some cleanup crew guys.
