Serpent Star

Just spotted small Serpant star on the LR, do I need to feed them any thing other than what I feed the other fish in the tank?

Most serpent stars are detritus eaters (cleaners). When they get large, they can be supplemented with a smal piece of shrimp/fish, even flake food will be sought after by them when it is falling to the botom...

Cool Find. 8) I recently recieved a dalmation linkia as a hitchhiker. No special feeding requirements as stated above they are mostly detrious feeders.

They will eat any leftover food your fish don't eat.

I will give them a piece of shrimp sometimes if they come out while I am feeding. It is not required though.
