I brought the level over to the stand where my 46G tank is gonna be set up and it wasn't perfectly level. The edge of the bubble is just outside of the line.... may 3 degrees off at most. The stand is sitting on carpet on an outside wall in the living room. Should I try and make it perfectly level? If so, How? My thought is to just use a strip that is the same length as the stand and put it in the front from left to right. ( like a 1" strip of 1/8" thickness, 3 feet long)

Any thoughts?

you will be happier in the long run to do it right the first time. Level it a precise as you can get it. The water level will be better level.
