Silicone
One of my tanks leaks around the top once in awhile, so I'm assuming the sillicone is weak there. I want to add more silicone.
The question: Do I need special aquarium-type silicone or is there even such a thing?

As long as it is 100% silicone, you can use it.

GE silicone I is the good stuff. The II is midew resistant and is not good for tanks.
