now this might be dumb but copepods are shrimp larvae, correct? well do they ever turn into shrimp? and what kind? becuase i have some damn big copepods...

Copepods are their own critter, they do not turn into shrimp. The big ones could be amphipods, which are larger than copepods and more shrimp like in looks.

ah yes, i guess its an amphipod... but they are crustaceans, no?
