slowing the flow in aquacalear

ive made a refugium out of an aquaclear, but it flows VERY FAST. the instructions say there is an adjuster, but that is not the case for the model i have. does anyone know how to slow the flow down??

Trim down the impellor blades a little. That should help.

You can also install a baffle sort of like I did in this thread linked below. A broken CD case is all that is needed.

What size AC is it. All models but the 110 share the same motor. You can exchange the impeller from a smaller model, if moving the suction tube doesn't reduce the flow enough.

oooh thanks dt! i like the cd case idea. as soon as i get off, im goin to try it, yay!

its a ac70. i really wanted the 110, but thanks to a not so nice ebayer, i didnt recieve it. altho i did get my money back, it wasnt enough to buy the 110 at petsmart, and i needed it right away. i had bought everything at the same time, and my chaeto and live rock rubble was running the risk of dying out if i didnt get it in something bigger. i still wish i coulda got the 110 tho. oh well what are ya gonna do...
