I have small red things growing inside my live rock and in the shadows. They are soft but not slimy and when I brushed them would not fall off. They grow in groups inside the rock and in small crevice that are shady. My tank is a 28 gal euro with 19 pounds of live rock, 20 pounds cc and has been running for 2 weeks. Water is ro and parameters are good. Used special blend and night out to cycle. Doing this from my Android so it would not let me up the pick. Will try tomorrow on pc. But just in case dose any one know what it might be?

it could be coraline algae if it is need not worry your rocks will be covered with it over time

I thought it would only grow under light. I have it under and inside my rock.
