Small snails appearing in my tank

So I just got home from a week long vacation away from my tank and the pet sitter said everything went smoothly, which seemed like it until I woke up to a bunch of small baby snails. I have no clue how they appeared. My only guess if I purchased my snail pregnant and she just laid the eggs or however they give birth while I was gone. My tank always seems to have something crazy going on[emoji23] has this ever happened to anyone and if so how do I get rid of them. Thanks for any help!
