So my QT has been up for about 2 months and it's got a nice little case of algae going. Any harm putting a single turbo snail (or another kind?) in there? If I did, that wouldn't start the quarantine period all over again for the current fish, would it? It's not like the algae's hurting anything . . . it just looks a mess.

As long as you dont have any copper in the QT tank it will be fine. Snails, inverts, etc do not carry ick (or any disease that I know of) so wouldnt see any reason why the QT period would start over. If you do intro copper you will have to take the snail out though before starting any meds for that matter.

Snail diseases are not transferrable to fish, however be wary of placing other inverts in there.
