Snail poop??

I have added 10 snails to my tank and I notice that when they are just sitting there, there is little brown pellets looking things around them. Is that poop?

I think so. When I added turbos, I saw a lot of it too. It's gonna be all over the rocks soon. What kinda snails are they anyway?

I used to blow tons of it off the LR with a Turkey baster when I went through my initial algae outbreaks. If you have good flow most of it should get sucked up your mechanical filter.
