snail turds???

I hope that wasn't offensive to anyone. I bought 2 mexican turbo snails late last week and I just noticed today a pile of small grayish "pellets" laying in the sand. Is that snail poop? I've never noticed it before getting the snails.

yes i do think that is what it is. kinda of a gray color?

A 46 gal bow front (Soft coral) reef tank with a 10 gal sump. And a 30 gal (SPS and Clam) reef tank hooked up to the sump of the 46 so they share water.

If you watch the snails (or have enough 10 or more) you can regularly see them discharge little 'turds' as they mow down your algae. They just float away...
