Snails that have passed into the great beyond

I have two snails that have passed on to bigger and better things. Do I leave them in the tank so their shells can be reused or do I thake them out and dispose of them?

Depends on the tank size. If a larger system, they don't need to be removed. If a small tank best to remove them or they can upset the water quality.

You can leave them in. A few hermits might find them a bit homely.
