Ok, I have been watching this fellow for a long time now. It has grown from about 1/8" to now over 1". The tentacles are now 2" when extended.

It is beautiful, and I have no others like it in the tank... I would think if it was Aiptasia, it would have split and spread by now... It has been a year...

Does anyone know what kind of anemone this is?

It doesn't look like an aip to me, but it does look deadly. Lots of nematocyst batteries all over that sucker. I'd also think it was one of the carribean non-photosysthetic anemones.

Check out >>this<< thread, it's not the same...but it'ss close and RL posted an article that might help you in your search.

The mouth looks similar but I think it's a Curlycue anemone. Bartholomea annulata
