something living INSIDE my anemone

I was watching my long tentacle anemone swallow a peice of shrimp when i noticed some kind of bug that i could see inside the anemone! I dont know what it is but it kinda shaped like a horseshoe crab. Is this something i should be concerned about???

It could be a commensal crab ~ aka "Porcelain" crab - many of these crabs live in a symbiotic relationship with the anemone.

Look anything like this?

HTH,

not really it is tiny and it is inside the anemone. I dont mean in the tentacles i mean inside the mouth i can see it through the clear part. It is only like maybe 1/16 of an inch but probably smaller. I wish i could get a pic but even if i had a cam it would be hard to do. Thanks

well, if the anenome is healthy, then it must not be bad, IMO. Probably some sort of sybiotic species. There are still a few things we don't know about the ocean . I wouldn't be too concerned, if I were you. But, I am highly interested in a picture and to see if anyone else can pinpoint it. 8)

Agreed. And there really aren't any true anemone predators that I'm aware of.
