I'm now pretty sure I have a spaghetti worm! (New things popping up every day). Talking to my mother on the phone last night, I told her about it and she got conceerned at first - she thought I had gotten a bad batch of pasta ("spaghetti worm" must sound absolutely terrible to a 79 year old Italian mother!!!).
I had to reassure her that all of my pasta was fine - stored safely in the cupboards, but that I would check it carefully before cooking it.
In the meantime, the worm is putting on a tentacle show on a rock. Very cool.
She'll come over to see it this afternoon when I get home. She's bringing me some fresh baked ziti, just in case.
