It appears my Hawaiian feather duster is splitting into two separate feather dusters. Is this possible and is there anything I should do? Here are a couple pictures. Sorry if they are a little blurry.

Tube worms do reproduce sexually and asexually but the asexual reproduction (splitting) usually occurs through the posterior of the tube, not the head.

That's what I thought too however either the crown split into two or there are two worms sharing one tube. I'm thinking if it is the later, then the second (new) worm will form its own tube. I guess we will see...

I could be mistaken but like other feather dusters the Hawaiian has two sets of gills/filter heads that are semi circular in shape. They form a circle when extended but as the worm grows it can appear as if there are two. You may want to research this some but I think that is what you will find.

Whether is it asexually reproducing or it is simply its own anatomy it sounds like you have a healthy worm.

Thank you. It seems as though that may be the case. I looked up some pictures of mature Hawaiian feather dusters and most of them look the same as mine (2 heads). It has grown very fast in the last few months and the its colors are amazing. Thank you all for your input and ill keep you up to date if any other changes occur.

yeah sorry bro, mine is the same, she's prob 10" across and looks like 2 separate worms, but only 1. Good sign for her though.

Mine looks like that
