Sponge.

I was wondering if I were to buy one or two sponge, how am I going to transfer them from the shipping bag to my tank? They really can't contact with air? Even a matter of seconds also cannot? Then is'nt it that I have to place the LFS water together with the sponge into my tank? But when I saw my LFS owner packing the sponge, they did let them contact with air, they bring it out of the tank and place in the plastic bag (with SW). Is it the wrong way?

I know your not suposed to, but I just got some rock and let it sit out 20 min, and i think the ones that came on the rock will be ok.

Open the bag outside the aquarium, lower the bag into the aquarium with the top submerged, remove the spnge from the bag, leaving it underwat (try to keep as much of the LFS water in the bag as possible.
