Sponge??

Is it possible to grow sponge on your lr? I was cleaning algae off the tank earlier today and decidet to re-aquascape. I noticed a sponge attached to my lr. Is this good, bad or even possible?

It can be either good or bad. However most of the time it is good. It is definitely possible.

Sponges are filter feeders and are usually introduced when adding LR. Most are beneficial as they help filter your water but can sometimes multiply to large numbers if there are sufficient nutrients available.
