Finally got my first starfish now my tank has had time to stabilise....

Got a Maldive Star (Marble Sea Star) & it seems to have settled in ok, but its hooked itself on the glass about 1cm down from the water level, which atm is ok, but when I go to do a water change sunday its gonna expose it to the air?

Should I gently move it before hand if it doesn't move in the mean time or what do you peeps do?

Cheers Shelton.

I move mine when I do the changes...I think it would be exposed to the air for entirely too long otherwise.

This was my thinking, I presume they can be persueded to let go of the glass without damaging him?

Cheers Shelton.

very gentle manipulation will usually result in them retracting tentacles and releasing their hold
