hey im getting a 40 gallon tank and i would like to know if it sounds good
im getting 15 lbs of live rock and 60 lbs of base rock(because of price**)
im going to fill the bottom 3" with regular sand from earl may.

fish
-2 percula clownfish

inverts
-10 blueleg hermits
-3 emerald crabs
-10 hawaiin zebra hermits
-10 scarlet hermit crabs
-10 nassarius snails
-(after 6 month) brittle starfish

coral- holding off till tank is stable with inhabitants

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no way will all those clowns work in that small of a tank.

I agree that`s too many clowns in that tank. I only have 2 in my 125 and they fight like cats and dogs. Also you will need more LR. 40 gallon needs about 50 lbs

Stick with a pair of one species of clown. They are very aggressive towards each other. It is best to purchase two that have already paired-off at the LFS just to be sure of no agression issues.

ok i think i will stick with the perculas, but i dont have a lfs that sells saltwater fish i think the closest one is 2 hrs away...

whats wrong with 15 lbs of live rock and the 60 lbs base rock? would it work if left them together longer so the base will become more effective? im only doing that cuz i have limited spending

thanks

no thats fine i was just wondering how i was gonna fit all that rock in there:D

of all the types of clown fish what kind do you reccomend i get?
