Hey Guys,

Not really sure what the rule for stocking in saltwater aquariums is, i have always had freshwater and it was 1 gallon for every inch of fish. Was wondering if this is the same for saltwater. I currently have a 55 gallon reef aquarium with a ocellaris clown, 2 yellow tail damsels, diamond goby, and yellow tang (i know to small of tank for the tang when it gets bigger, but i am currently in the process of buying stuff and cycling my 150 gallon so ill move him in there probably some time over the summer), i have star polyps frag, button polyps, and frogspawn. I was wondering what more can i get for my tank? I want to get another clown to create a pair and i really want to get a mandarin (have a lot of pods in my tank i see them all the time). Thanks for advice in advance.

Thanks,
Albie

If you just want those two additional, you'll be fine. It's less than an inch per gal for SW. FW is more forgiving, but that load will be fine.

Make sure the new clown is either significantly larger or smaller.
