Stomalia "smoke"

I would assume this is part if reproduction but I wanted to ask. Walked past my tank to see "clouds" of white stuff coming off some live rock. Turns out the culprits were two stomalia. I would assume this is them putting sperm/eggs into the water column? Just curious. Regardless it was a very fulfilling tank morning

Saw it in my tank a few months ago... Pretty funny seeing it for the first time !
