strange algae

I think I have identified it as chondrus crispus or irish moss. I have not been able to find out how to get rid of it. Anybody w/ideas? I have cut back lighting and nobody I have talked to knows how to treat it or what may eat it.

looks like Red Slime, either way Algaes thrive on Phosphates and nitrates. Start reducing those even if they don't show up on your test kits. Which they probably won't because the algae will consume it first. Start running HC GFO in a ractor to lower PO4, cut back on feeding, do water changes to lower NO3. Keep pounding them down! When I had this issue I was running twice the amount of HC GFO and doing big water changes every few days.
