So I was curing live rock in a brute trashcan but the salinity was 1025 and I wanted to lower it to 1020 to speed the die off. So. I turned the ro water on and let it start to fill up. Only problem, I forgot to turn it off. So it ran overnight and the trashcan was almost overflowing. The salinity is like 1005. Is everything dead? Does the rock have any bb left? Should I mix SW in another bucket and add it to the trashcan to try to raise the salinity or will that make things worse?

:nono: You've most likely killed off all the inverts on it except for the coralline. For now, just raise the salinity an hope for the best

I doubt you sterilized it. As recommended, start over with the proper salinity and monitor ammonia. You might consider adding some Dr. Tims beneficial bacteria to help reseed the rock. Or throw in a existing live rock from somebodies reef to help reseed.
