stupid question on a pipe organ

what side goes up the gray side has like a 1/4 the red side is about 3/4 as both sides look like they would bloom just want to be sure to place it right

thats the problem both sides look to be living
Ill put red side up as theres more flesh

I think its red side down actually. Just laying on its side until a polyp comes out...lol
