Hello everyone!

Will 240w T5 (3 blue, 2 white, 1 red) be enough to have SPS corals? I really like the stylophora coral.

Parameters are good and I have good water flow, I am just concerning about the lights.

Thanks

Edit: the tank is the RSM C-serie 250

Yes 6 t5s should be fine to grow stylophora

They're not high out puts. And op get rid of that red bulb, all it's going to do is fuel algae growth. I'd get rid of the 10k bulbs too, but that's me and I hate the color they put out. Really dulls out the color of the coral IMO.

I thought in the 250 they were high output??

From everything I could find they never said h.o., which I would think they would readily advertise. And most of the rsm tanks I've seen have the hoods removed so the lights can be upgraded. I could be wrong though

Hmm the one on display at thatfishplace had a lot of sps in it with stock lighting. But it's weird they don't specify HO

So, remove the red T5? What should input instead?

My favorite combo for t5s is 4 blue + 1 coral + and 1 purple+, but I like a 20k look (pretty blue) if you replace a b+ with a c+ it'll give a more 14k look.

Edit: here are the Red Sea equivalents for the ati bulbs I listed above. Coral + = blue/white 15k, blue + = 22k actinic , purple + = pink
