We have rid our tank of flatworms!!
Our 175 gallon reef had become overrun with the little beasties. They were ALL over the rocks and were starting to cover some of our SPS frags.
At the recommendation of another hobbiest, we tried Salifert's Flatworm Exit treatment. Within just a few minutes of adding the medication, you could tell that the flatworms were really not happy.
The medication itself is perfectly reef safe, but the toxins released by the dying flatworms can be pretty potent. So we siphoned out as many of the flatworms as we could and ran carbon to help pull the flatworm toxins out of the water.
It's been a few days since the treatment and everything looks great! Not a flatworm to be found and all the corals/fish seem to be doing fine. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a flatworm problem.
